Digital PR for AI Search: Earn the Mentions AI Trusts
AI answers lean on what trusted sources say about you. Digital PR puts your data, experts and stories in front of journalists and publishers, so the web says the right things about your brand, often.
Digital PR is the practice of earning coverage, brand mentions and links on trusted online publications through data-led stories, expert commentary and newsworthy campaigns, to build authority for search engines, AI answer engines and the people who read those sites.
Why PR has become an AI search channel
Links used to be the main reason SEO teams did PR. They still matter, but the evidence now points to mentions themselves. Ahrefs' study of 75,000 brands found branded web mentions correlated with AI Overview visibility at 0.664, compared with 0.218 for backlinks (Ahrefs, 75,000-brand AI Overview study). Its 2026 benchmark found YouTube mentions were the single strongest signal of AI visibility (Ahrefs Q1 2026 AI search report via Business Wire). Being talked about, in credible places, is what gets you recommended.

What we do
How we keep it clean
We never buy links or placements disguised as editorial, which breach Google's spam policies (Google Search spam policies), and we label any sponsored content clearly. In the UK, the DMCC Act also made fake reviews and concealed incentivised reviews unlawful (Cooley on the DMCC Act, April 2025), so review campaigns stay genuine.
Useful stories last. John Deere's magazine The Furrow has run since 1895 and still reaches more than 550,000 readers because it helps farmers first (The Drum, 2018). The same principle drives good PR: give journalists something genuinely useful.
How we measure it
Coverage and mentions on target publications, links earned, share of voice in AI answers, branded search growth and referral traffic.
